Indy’s Bliss Balls

My daughter Indy developed these when our family went low to no sugar. We used Kultured Wellness Kefir to ferment fruits. She decided to ferment dates then make a recipe with them and this is her creation. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 450g packet of medjool dates – fermented for 24 hours

  • 14 drops of food grade peppermint essential oil  (I use doTERRA)

  • 200g of shredded coconut + extra for rolling the balls in

  • 300g of rolled oats

  • 60g of chia seeds

  • 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (about 60g) (we use Happy Way)

  • 2 tbsps. of cacao (25g)

Method 

  1. Drain dates and blend with peppermint oil. (Thermomix 20 sec, speed 7).

  2. Add dry ingredients, and mix again. Stop after every 10 seconds and stir with spatula and mix again until blended. (Thermomix – reverse speed 5, 10 seconds to 40 secs).

  3. Once blended roll into balls, any size you choose. Then coat in the extra shredded coconut.

  4. Store in fridge or freezer.
